Success is the product and fruit of hard work and this applies to every element of performing life. In your audition your talent, skill, personality and ability to take direction will all be assessed. This means you have to be informed and prepared to suceed. Intuition alone is not enough to get you through your audition and luck is not going to earn you a place, but preparation will. 

Even if you have regular singing lessons, you will benefit hugely from the intensive and specific aim of this masterclass. Preparing for an audition is different to preparing for an exam, show or festival. 

I set up these Masterclasses originally to help dancers who hadn't sung before. Coming from a dance background myself, I understand how many young dancers feel overwhelmed with the idea of selecting and preparing a song. Back in the day, you could get away with not taking a song, and the singing panel member would ask you to sing 'Happy Birthday'. Those days are long gone! Many colleges also ask for two songs now to hear a contrast. The courses fast became popular, so I now have devised the course to ensure all level and abilities can benefit form the course. 

Your songs should be an extension of who you are and should show the panel all your best qualities. I am very good at helping you identify those! We do this before the course date via online communication and through emails and videos.

Those attending my courses now vary in ability and experience form none to little to lots! 

We do lots of communicating before the event itself, to help you identify the perfect song choices for you, so when you get to the course, there is audition technique and group feedback as well as mostly 1-2-1 time of bouncing up, singing, working through coaching and fast paced feedback instruction. You can then access online or in person help from me afterwards. 

You will need to do your research, thinking, planning and learning yourself at home before attending. I have a dropbox file which you will be sent, containing songs, piano accompaniment tracks and note bashes for you to use in preparation. There is also a step by step guide for researching your songs and exercises for embedding the characters in yourself.
